A Resilient Overlay Network is an application layer service that enables peer to peer transmission of packets. It takes advantage of private links to ensure the fastest routes are being used between the RON nodes. To better understand a RON, one must understand what a RON is, how it works, why it is used, and problems such a network may experience in practice.
